Hervé Floch, EUCLES President, participated in the last edition of the C2Lab (Cluster Collaboration Labs) event, held in Strasbourg, France, on 25-26 September 2024, co-organised by ECCP and AFPC. C2Lab is an interactive workshop-style event for companies, cluster organisations, financial providers, actors from civil society, and other interested entities to establish new collaborations and to develop project roadmaps.

On this occasion, AFPC team, on behalf of the CAFEIN projects partners, presented the latest outcomes of the project that ended last August. CAFEIN has drafted a Joint Action Plan (JAP) to facilitate the twin transitions, green and digital, for SMEs, and to strengthen links within the EU’s innovation ecosystems and facilitate cross-border cooperation to address global challenges such as climate change. This JAP, signed by all CAFEIN partners from the 5 countries concerned (Spain, France, Italy, Poland, Sweden) and their corresponding national/regional innovation agencies, was also signed during the C2Lab in person by Bpifrance, and joined on the same day by other national/regional networks of clusters present on site (Lithuania and Romania). The CAFEIN team is always interested in attracting new JAP signatories (national/regional cluster associations and innovation agencies from all over Europe…).

A CAFEIN strategical workshop was also organized, where 3 clusters participated including representatives from Greece, Finland and France, and one of the outcomes was the importance of the labelling knowledge transfer to be addressed in a coming CAFEIN’s Think-Tank…

EUCLES was positioned in the strategy planning as a key recognition axe, with the objective to continually update the indicators (as for instance after the Draghi report).
