The EUCLES board is proud to announce they have approved 4 newly labellised clusters in July, 7 in August and 9 in September 2024, recognising their management excellence!
1. The GOLD Label
The GOLD Label is awarded to cluster management organisations that demonstrate a high level of professionalism and sophisticated cluster management, including expertise in strategic management, internationalisation, financing, sector strategy, networking, and communication. 8 clusters have been awarded the Gold label in July, August and September 2024:
Allianz Faserbasierte Werkstoffe – AFBW e.V. 🇩🇪
AFBW connects science and business, people and markets, technologies and application areas – from the fibre to the finished product. Knowledge transfer is its most important task. In doing so, AFBW creates added value to provide impulses and drive innovation forward. The goal of its work is to promote the competitiveness of companies, universities, and research institutes in the region.
TREC – Transylvania Energy Cluster 🇷🇴
Transylvania Energy Cluster was born as a result of local actors becoming aware of the importance of changing the perception of the use of renewable energy resources and the opportunities resulting from their proper exploitation. The renewable energy sector is an emerging one contributing to the economy of the growing region.
Food & Bio Cluster Denmark helps companies accelerate innovation and sustainable development within food and bioresources.
Energy Cluster Denmark is Denmark’s cluster organisation for the entire energy sector. His vision is for Denmark to be a leading green nation in the development and demonstration of innovative and global energy solutions.
Techtera 🇫🇷
Techtera’s vocation is to strengthen the competitiveness of its members through concerted innovation; thereby contributing to the influence of the French textile industry beyond its borders.
Cluster Mobility & Logistics 🇩🇪
In the age of electromobility and IT logistics, the cluster works with their partners and members to find intelligent answers to upcoming social and technological challenges. The cluster helps to secure existing competitive advantages and create new ones.
Clúster de l’Energia Eficient de Catalunya (CEEC) 🇪🇸
Entity whose purpose is to promote the field of energy efficiency through collaboration between companies and associated entities from areas such as technology, research, institutional, regulatory, industrial, informational and business.
By bringing together entrepreneurs, corporates, universities, research- and public institutions and capital providers, GCE Ocean Technology aims to drive progress and spur advancements across the entire ocean sector.
2. The SILVER Label
The SILVER Label “Dedicated to Cluster Excellence” recognises the successful implementation of improvement processes that were initiated following a previous Bronze Label benchmarking exercise. 3 clusters have been recognised with the silver label:
HZwo e. V. 🇩🇪
The HZwo cluster is a German organisation dedicated to the energy & environment sector.
Cluster Forst und Holz (Construction) 🇩🇪
Since 2006, the cluster initiative has supported the networking of actors from science, business and politics in the forestry, wood and paper industries. The cluster promote knowledge transfer as well as product and process innovations and improve the good reputation of wood as a raw material.
Smart Textiles by Science Park Boras 🇸🇪
With over 500 research and company driven projects since the foundation of the initiative in 2006, Smart Textiles has not only become a motor for the textile industry in Sweden but an important player on the international arena.
3. The BRONZE Label
The BRONZE label recognises the intention of a cluster management organisation to strive for excellence by improving its management capabilities and performance levels. 9 clusters have received the Bronze Label:
Cluster Smart Industries 🇩🇪
The Cluster Smart Industries is a regional industrial network for Industry 4.0. Industry 4.0, production and networked automation were the beginnings of this association. It has now expanded its scope to include all sectors. Transformation requires a forward-looking vision towards a sustainable and energy efficient industry in order to remain strong in the long term global competition.
IT-Sicherheitscluster Bayern 🇩🇪
This cluster believes that IT security, information security, and data protection are essential for economic prosperity and a democratic society. As an independent association, the cluster is dedicated to shaping technological, political, and social developments in these areas, because their members are firmly convinced that this task can only be mastered collectively.
Hellenic Biocluster 🇬🇷
HBio supports and promotes the Greek life sciences and healthcare ecosystem. They serve their members as well as stakeholders of the international community in working together to promote good science, commercial collaboration and sound business practices that lead to innovation and better health for all.
IIC – Industry Innovation Cluster 🇸🇰
The Industry Innovation Cluster is an accelerator and platform for innovation in Slovak industry. The aim is to bring together Slovak and EU companies that are leaders in the industry and want Slovakia to be ahead in competitiveness and innovation.
Clúster Granada Plaza Tecnológica y Biotecnológica 🇪🇸
Its purpose is to locate technology and biotechnology-based projects and companies in Granada and Andalusia, taking advantage of the major advantages offered by Andalusia in this type of industry, thereby boosting the local business fabric and creating quality jobs, as well as increasing the sector’s turnover.
AAVIT Association for Applied Research in IT 🇨🇿
AAVIT is a cluster of leaders in IT & Digital Services. They aspire to level the start-up landscape for the IT sector and strengthen its position as an equal partner alongside the manufacturing industry. AAVIT is a platform supporting the increase of the IT sector’s share of Czech and EU GDP.
InfectoGnostics 🇩🇪
The InfectoGnostics Research Campus Jena is a public-private partnership breaking new ground in the diagnosis of infections. More than 30 partners from science, medicine and industry are jointly developing novel solutions for fast and cost-effective on-site diagnostics of infectious diseases.
Cluster Bioenergia de Catalunya 🇪🇸
The Catalonia Bioenergy Cluster is a non-profit association that represents the professional bioenergy sector in Catalonia and aims to promote sustainable use of bioenergy in Catalonia.
Cluster Mechatronik & Automation e.V. 🇩🇪
The Mechatronics & Automation Cluster is the transfer service provider on the subject of production for Bavarian players from business and science.
