What your cluster do ?

South Savo Food Cluster focuses on food, food production, processing, and consumption in the South Savo region, Finland with around 40 member organisations.

What made you decide to apply for the Cluster Management Excellence label?

Our motivation for the evaluation process was to gain a clearer understanding of our performance level and to confirm that we are on the right track.

What specific benefits has the label brought you?

The Bronze label strengthens trust in our operations and supports the development of international partnerships.

Do you have a tip for other clusters that are still thinking about the label?

Reserve enough time to review the materials and questions carefully in advance. Some of them are challenging, but when conducted properly, the audit process brings long‑term value.

What does “excellence” in cluster management mean to you personally?

Excellence means responsibility, fact‑based decision‑making, and taking good care of cluster members.
